One species each day (from my backyard)
And now back again in my own backyard. Just half an hour left and today would have been over. It started to drizzle lightly, but these Paurocotylis pila (a fungus in the family of Ascomycetes) were in a dry spot on the gravel path under some trees. There were a few last year, but quite a bit more this year. I'm not sure if they look at their best. They're quite dry and shrivelled, but it seems to be their favourite spot and they started to appear during the last month or so and it has been really dry.
