Lily Monster

You do not want one of these in your garden - especially if you grow and love lilies.

These little beasts are very destructive to bulbous plants and in particular Lilium such as Turk's cap lilies, Asiatic lilies, Oriental lilies and Tiger lilies, also some Fritillaria species. Like many destructive creatures they are not native to the UK, but became established in the 1940s and are gradually working northwards with the warmer winters.

Although this specimen made a great macro subject, once I had finished I delivered the recommended control treatment, and squished it!
