Working bee!
At this time of the year the lake is quite low and the boat sheds that are dotted around are rather shallow, in fact often there is not enough water for the boats to get in. They tend to silt up as well, so it is a good opportunity to clean them out.
They can be dug out...hard work, but the guys came up with the idea of using two pumps, one blowing heaps of water in to loosen up the mud and the other sucking it all out. Ian and Chris had the job in the water while the other two guys manned the pumps. Lots of laughter, but it was very successful, and now there is a shed that is deep enough for the boat to be parked in.
Results came out last night for the National Exhibition of the Photographic Society and was very pleased to get three acceptances...all blips!
Lace, Driving Mr Angus, and Hellebores
But congrats to Rainie who not only got three accepted, but also received a silver medal!
