Stairway out ..

Spent some of the day working in a horrendous basement .. i was only there for an hour or so ... but couldn't help but think how it would feel to have been a member of the Viet Cong ... a soldier in the trenches of World War 1 ... someone held captive in a room against their will .. someone caught in a situation they couldnt escape .. but then when they had the opportunity to escape or experience fresh air, how it would have felt after days, weeks, months or even years ... compared to my pathetic half an hour of solitude ... some people suffer way more then any of us experience and perhaps we should remember this.
