The Hope Lodge

I arrive with my friend here for a day or two to visit the Wills Eye Center in Philadelphia. I am to have a re-examination of the right eye which had a rare form of cancer. It was radiated in 2007 and pronounced  "killed" by last June. Just to be sure it had to be examined again.
This wonderful hotel is located in the woodsy suburbs outside of the city. It is offered free for those patients and a caregiver to stay for however long they need to be seen or treated at one of several cancer hospitals in the area.  the guests do self-catering in the huge kitchen. Volunteers drive them into the city for appointments.
