Standing Stone

Another beautiful sunny day on Orkney. Visited palace ruins after failing to reach an ancient Viking village as the tide was in and the pathway across to the island was covered. Will try again tomorrow! We then visited an old mill, which has been running the same way for the last couple of hundred years and I was given the opportunity to start the mill running as well as sampling the yummy shortbread and biscuits at the end (and stocked up on them too).
Took a walk around Stromness and then the standing stone rings. We ended at the Ring of Brodger where TSP made me a proposal...to which I replied Yes :)
