Trying Hard

The sun has been in and our, in and out and is now beautifully shining. Met Kitty in Midhurst for coffee and a lengthy catch up. We always say we must not leave it so long next time - and always do.

The best laid plans... Mine had been to do some clothes shopping tomorrow. BUT my DVD recorder/player has died and purchases must be prioritised. I have clothes, I do not have a working recorder. No question which must come first. I have obligations, which I am happy to fulfil, to an important other living abroad to keep her supplied with certain TV programmes.
Harry, the nice Young Man in the local shop says he'll check mine tomorrow when he brings the new one and if he can repair it here (unlikely) he will cancel the sale. Sending it away for repairs is not an option as it will cost almost as much as a new one.
The joys of buying locally - friendly, helpful staff, next day delivery, only because he is fully booked this afternoon, and installation all free of charge and great after sales service. Worth those extra quid on the purchase price.
