Front Door

This is the entrance to a Mouse House. It is occupied, by, I think, 2 Mice. They are Field Mice, a beautiful chestnut, reddy brown with white tummy. They have been collecting dry leaves and taking them inside, this is the Rockery in front of the fish pond, so their home must be deep inside. Do they Hibernate ? I don't know, but it is nice to see some really wild animals ! If they stay awake then they have chosen a good spot, we put the bird table there in winter, so they will be well supplied!! I saw them early in the summer, all the time they stay outside, all is well, just don't come into the house.......
