The 65th day of one hundred days of happiness.
"Hello Hinney it's nice to see you. I've got a pot of tea mashin' on the hearth."
So my memory tells me my (Great) Grandma Threapleton would greet us when we came to visit with my Dad. You have to say it in an impenetrable Geordie accent like she did; although she was actually from Alnwick. She was whisked away not long after WW1 by a young Frank on the hunt for a wife and apparently never went back, remaining in Farsley for the rest of her many days. And never lost her thick accent.
I came across this photo on a shelf at my Dad's, where we came for a surprise meal for my little brothers 50th birthday. Funnily enough he was born in 65 and this is my 65th happiness blip.
I loved mine and Sam's young little faces and got all nostalgic for those perceived happy and simple times. Later at the meal I showed the photo of a photo to my Mum and she got quite upset. She said it was about remembering her lovely little boys and how time passes so quickly and her babies are suddenly middle aged men. I suppose as well she was thinking of the many changes and upsets that families go through in 45 or so years.
I stuck to cute kids in simpler times.
