'4 Man Lift'

Today's event really amused me........................

It was the day that my new fridge/freezer was being delivered! Big day, the old one had taken to producing large quantities of frost for no particular reason.

The new one duly arrived on time ,carried to the back door by two of the most enormous guys I have ever seen! The problems started when they saw the old fridge that I had paid to have taken away. The took one look at it and announced that on account of its measurements it was a '4 Man Lift' and there was no way they were removing it ! At first I thought this was a joke, given the gender thing, their size and the fact that C and I had shoved it around for years. But no they were serious!

After considerable negotiation and the removal of the fridge's doors, feet and shelves it was agreed that two big men, one small man and one female would be able to manage a four man lift!

Thankfully, it only takes one female to operate a vacuum cleaner!
