Sin and bread

We brought this bag of leftover bread home from the picnic on Monday. We put it in our dustbin but a visitor saw it and gave me a good telling off because throwng bread away here is considered a huge Sin. She rescued it and put it on our wall for a shepherd to collect for his sheep or goats to eat. It's still sitting there; can't say I've seen too many shepherds walk up our road recently.....
