"Judges Choice"

"I am so pleased that the lady judge at our competition on Sunday had the good sense to realise that I was the most handsome, the cleverest, the dog that had the most potential out of all the 50 or so dogs competing and awarded me her special prize the "judges choice" rosette AND some dog hotcross buns"

Bud and I had to leave early on Sunday so we had no idea that we had won such a brilliant prize. 

We had been talking to Ghillie Dhu and his owner about how good it was to enter these competitions, even if you have no chance of winning, it brings you down to earth and shows you  what you had to aim for. So when Roddy posted a photo of Ghillie Dhu with his rosette and congratulated us on Bud's win I thought he was joking. But he wasn't we had won the Judges Choice, where she can, if a dog has caught her eye and she feels that he shows potential and has tried his best, award her own rosette.

I feel so proud of him.

Also, we were all on Ormonde Hill this morning with Freddie, I had forgotten Bud's ball so he was at a bit of a loose end. Suddenly he ran up with something in his mouth. I couldn't believe it, he had found my phone that I had lost on Ormonde Hill about a fortnight ago. He was so pleased with himself. A few people had looked, Sheila and I had looked 2 or 3 times but only Bud could find it!

A really great day today.
