Reflections and Dark Places

Today I took my car in for the wheel alignment and to get the fixed tire back in place. After a three hour wait it was finally done. I was told it may take hour and half. I did manage to get over the the shopping mall and do a little shopping while waiting and could have spent much longer there.. only if I had known!

Weather wise it was a wonderful day, not much sun, very calm and mild.

These six decorative eggs were so hard to photograph as they were either in low light or behide a window. The wonderful Bronze one, middle top, was in a very dark corner of the Canterbury museum.

The two on the left were behind windows so a day without sun is much better to get shots of them. The other three are inside at the Christchurch city Council Chambers are very not in the best light for shots ether.

The Whittaker’s Big Egg Hunt will raise funds for the Starship Foundation, a social-profit organisation which supports the national children’s hospital to provide world-leading care for more than 120,000 patient visits each year. The eggs will be auctioned off for Starship, 80 of them on Trade Me, and 20 at a gala cocktail event on 31 March. The Big Egg Hunt concept first came about in London in 2012 to engage the public in a fun and interactive way while fundraising for charity. Since then The Big Egg Hunt has grown to include Dublin, New York and New Zealand. It is believed to be the biggest egg hunt of its kind worldwide.
