Volcanoes galore

According to the guidebook, Auckland is built upon 50 volcanoes, some of them still live. This morning we walked to the top of Mount Eden, the city's tallest volcano, from where we could see several other peaks. The picture is looking over the volcanic crater (also a sacred Maori site) towards the harbour and the city centre.
