Brittlebush
Brittlebush (Encelia farinosa) is a member of the sunflower family and is common in the Southwestern USA.
Old Time cowboys used the brittlebush stem as a toothbrush. Simply peel off the bitter bark, no need for toothpaste. :)
My Mom actually called me today for no real reason.
It has been months since she has done that and I believe it's a good indication of her health/attitude improvement. :)
I saw a poster the other day and it made me think of my Mom with so much gratitude for her sacrifices and love.
It said something like...
10 Things That Mom Never Told You:
1. You made her cry…a lot.
2. She wanted that last piece of pie.
3. It hurt.
4. She was always afraid.
5. She knows she’s not perfect.
6. She watched as you slept.
7. She carried you a lot longer that 9 months.
8. It broke her heart every time you cried.
9. She put you first.
10. She would do it all again.
I have so much to be grateful for.
