Morwellham Quay

This former copper mine and associated village in the upper Tamar valley (Devon/Cornwall border) was reopened in the 70s as a tourist attraction. All the old buildings were still there  when they cleared away the brambles, often with their contents intact. This railway was built in the 70s so that visitors can go into the mine safely. The locomotive is a little battery electric box - does the job! A great day out.
