Three Ducks Mating!

I wandered alongside the River Windrush to a part of the river where tourists rarely venture hoping I might see some more unusual birds. Instead it was the usual birds doing what birds do. I was quite taken aback, however, by the ferocity of the attack on the female mallard from the two drakes. The splashing was phenomenal and the quacking was very loud. I'm afraid I actually clapped my hands to try to separate them but should have known that they were too focused to even be aware of me. Not sure whether the deed was done but they flew off very quickly...I feel a paternity suit may be in the offing.
