The Dana Prison, Shrewsbury

This afternoon I went to Shrewsbury and while I was there popped up to the redundant prison for a blip. It was a prison for over 200 years until it closed in 2013 and is destined to become housing and offices, though the bodies of prisoners that were hanged there will have to be exhumed first. The bust is of John Howard the prison reformer.

This morning I went to U3A where there was a very interesting talk by the head gardener of Attingham Park. Afterwards I went for coffee with some friends that were there.
