String of pearls

As I took this for an online photography group I decided to post this today.  The weather was very temperamental - we had rain, sleet and hail, and now the sun is shining.  Not wanting to take the camera outside when I took the dog for a walk, indoor photos will have to do.  

This is a very special string of pearls as it was my husband's gift to me on our first wedding anniversary, which will soon be 51 years ago.  The pearls have travelled many miles with us but still retain their lustre and beauty after so long.
