Q is for Quarry

This is week 17 of Alphabet Challenge and this picture was taken from an old quarry that was later used by the French Army in 1914 during the First World War. The soldiers were there for around 4 years fighting the worse conditions imaginable, in these old quarries are lots of drawings in the walls from pictures of loved ones to men dying on the fields, even different battalion crests like the one in this photo. Only had my phone with me so they were hard to take pictures of.
