Pomponio

K has the entire week off work. 
We headed out to Pescadero (south of SF) to see the Redwoods. 
First stop: 
Pescadero Beach where I got to see pelicans!!! Just like tiny pterodactyls. Amazing. 
Then into the trees. Whilst walking through the forest K spotted a banana slug. We had a lunch of sandwiches and beer besides a creek.
Then a stop on a different beach (Pomponio) where we watched the curlews, investigated the caves and (in K's case) rediscovered crustaceans that burrow only inches beneath the surface of the sand.

Then - quite simply incredible - pelicans flew in formation right over our heads.
