Whale!

Drove down from Renwick to Kaikoura today, the drive was along the coast and on the way I could see lots of seals lying around on the rocks. We stopped and could see baby seals frolicking around in shallow pools with the larger seals basking in the sun.
When we arrived we checked the motorhome into the top10 campsite and then checked in for our whale watching tour. We took the boat out to sea on the look out for whales. The problem is that whales dive down into the deep sea for 45 minutes at a time between surfacing so we were told that there was a chance that we wouldnt see any whales. Luckily we managed to see 3 whales! I managed an assortment of photos of whale fins and even a couple of tale shots as the whales dived deeper underwater but I liked this photo of the whales back. We also saw a few sharks on our trip and a group of dolphins. It makes it hard to chose one photo on a day full of exciting wildlife!
