Forth and Clyde Heron

Since it was such a lovely morning I took a cycle to Bowling and back. This heron was so fixated on something it didn't notice me cycling within a foot of it, I don't know who was more surprised! I slowed down and turned back but by then he had his wits about him and took flight to the other side of the canal so this was the best I could do. The wildlife is great along the canal but when I'm on the bike I only carry my little Ixus. I should really try and take the time to walk along with DSLR and tripod to see what I can catch.
