Early blooms

Bella and I had a wee walk round our local park this morning (in the rain), and I was surprised to see these rhododendrons in bloom, much earlier than I would expect. There are quite a few different varieties in the park, and the others still have very tight buds.

The weekly/monthly blip challenge is 'fill the frame'. I have another idea for that, but this is just in case my idea doesn't work.

I had a meeting at QMU on the far side of Edinburgh this afternoon and was surprised to see these fellows here.  Perhaps they felt like a wee change of scene.
