Archie looking daft in the daffs...

Archie and I walked along to Summerhall this morning. Oh, look! The children are out in the playground again, their sweet little voices reaching our ears from afar... Still, we both both gritted our teeth, girded our loins, and walked by without incident. This collar is really proving its worth! Especially as he doesn't yet realise that he seems to be able to turn it off when he has a vigorous shake.

After my cuppa (no cake!) we walked back through the Meadows, hoping to meet up with a dog for Archie and a friendly dog owner for me. And we hit the jackpot! A young woman had a fluffy Australian Labradoodle called Maud, and the two dogs had a great time while the two humans had a long chat. Then we were joined by a woman with her wee great niece, Camilla, who just loved dogs! Camilla was not yet talking, but could say 'Dog!' We all had such a nice time in the sun. Thanks dogs!

I directed Maud and her owner to the dog friendly Summerhall when we eventually departed.

JR took Archie for another walk this afternoon. They came back with a phone, obviously dropped/lost. We have rung the High School and informed them (they will put it on tomorrow's notices) and I'll drop it in tomorrow. Somebody will be having an anxious evening...

I tried to take some action shots again. Partial success (as in a partial dog). So it has to be Archie, looking a bit daft, in the daffs. Summerhall in the background.

I have come to realise that Archie is actually quite lazy. Maud was charging around, and after a wee attempt at joining in, he just stopped. But he frolicked enthusiastically.
