Chiaroscuro primroses

I'm sorry I'm not taking part in MonoMonday this week, but today is a very busy one for me with no time for a bliptrip, so this was taken at home with primroses from the garden.

It's actually a shot I've been thinking of for a while.  I'm not sure if something as delicate as a bunch of primroses isn't slightly overwhelmed by the chiaroscuro light.  I hope not.  And I found what I thought an incredibly interesting range of chiaroscuro images here - mostly paintings of people, but as you scroll down, also some photos and still lifes.  Good fun!
