Guarding the Port

This is the ruin of a fortress observation post from the Second World War. It is on a hill about two kilometers from our village, and was manned by soldiers who could warn of any approaching ships into the bay of Port Elizabeth.
It could be restored and become a tourist attraction - instead it stands in ruins - but the view after climbing the 70 steps is stunning - that can be a future blip!
I liked the grasses in the foreground blowing in the wind....
