Road to Inle Lake
After a bit of deliberating over whether to get the day or night bus from Bagan to Inle Lake, we went with the advice from the locals and various websites to do it during the day, mainly for the scenery. Ideally I really wanted to do the train but the price was unreasonably high. When booking, I asked repeatedly if the bus had good A/C because it's so hot in Myanmar right now. It turned in to a bit of a nightmare journey.
Firstly they didn't even have the A/C on and I had to ask three times before they reluctantly turned it on. Then they had to turn it off during the mountain roads (due to the engine overheating), which is most of the journey. As a result we were all sweating and extremely uncomfortable for most of the 8 or 9 hours and couldn't appreciate the scenery. We made a couple of stops on the way and got some snacks from this lady.
We arrived at Inle Lake in time for sunset and some much-needed Happy Hour beers.
