Giant butterfly discovered in Bedfordshire garden

Do you ever worry about how easy it is for governments to feed us lies and propaganda? These days, it is so easy to fake a photograph that through the media, they could make us believe just about anything if they chose to do so. Take this picture for example. It was taken today, they are my hands, but the butterfly was not there. That's just a stock photo of a butterfly that I have extracted in Photoshop, pasted over the picture of my hands, shaded to match the light conditions of the original photo and then a shadow has been added to make it look like it was really there. So simple to do; took 10 minutes start to finish.

Luckily for us, it would appear that governments are as inept in their use of Photoshop as  they are at running their countries as this story of the missing umbrella proves.

Lamb ragu with orzo was very nice last night. We had baked Camembert for starters and Diana had put 4 whole cloves of garlic in to add a bit of flavour. A very nice touch but I wish she had removed them before serving as I ate one - it was practically raw so very strong and this morning my mouth tastes like a Turkish wrestlers arm pit.

Pictures of Matthew on Facebook partying with his new staff in France and looking a little the worse for wear. Nice to see him settling in. Shame he is such a lightweight when it comes to drinking.
