From the dark corner.....

You definitely do something to me.....

I had a headache and a half yesterday which did not help my poor nervy travel tummy at all. It's so silly as you all know how often I do this trip and nothing is frightening or different to the time before.

I think someone up there is having a laugh with me! Anyway, I was finally able to leave the house to catch the 11:40 bus to Glasgow. Mom came with me to make sure I went and I caught the 900 to Edinburgh. I love travelling. I think it's the arrival and the knowledge that I have to pull myself together and do something that worries me! Once at the Edinburgh bus station I renewed my Ridacard for the week and then caught the 11 to my 'home' for the week.

It was a quick unpacking session, I headed back to Elm Row via Starbucks in Princes Street for something to eat and then went to Joseph Pearce (a pub I'd only visited one before) to have a pre Paul Weller drink with the lovely WhiskyFoxtrot.

It was then back to the Playhouse to meet my long suffering friend and landlord for the week, David, for tonight's concert.

How was Paul Weller? Awesome! I'd seen him once before in Brum but this was so much more memorable and not just because David and I were up and down like fiddlers' elbows to let people out for the loo or bar! It was a complete sellout and although we were supposed to have a restricted view where we were on one of the balconies, it was remarkably good and I managed to take quite a few pictures before I got told off! I took some more a bit later though when more people were stood up behind us to dance etc.

There were three encores. We were halfway up the stairs to leave when Paul reappeared to thunderous applause for a third time while everyone rushed back to their seats. It was a marvellous concert with many favourites being played as well as newer songs. It was easily the best concert I'd been to in ages.

Whether it's just Edinburgh that does something to me or the fact I'd been to a cracking concert or maybe there is something more, I cannot say but they say home is where the heart is and I certainly feel at home tonight.

Track? No prizes for guessing. I love them all but this one which was played tonight is my favourite - You Do Something To Me
