Busy bee

This early flowering rhododendron has been in bloom since December - which is early even for it.

It has been hit by cold, rain and frost but in the past few weeks has really got into its blooming stride.

This morning was the first time I've noticed the bees buzzing around. There were a good number of them. Either they face a shortage of nectar or the plant is particularly attractive to then. In any event I was able to capture this.
