och, I was going to post a blip of the solar eclipse this morning, but none of my photos were great - you could hardly see it in them even though I saw it properly on my wee pinhole card thing and by looking when the clouds were over the sun. it went pretty dark and it was ace to hear the kids chattering in the playground down the road.

peggy and daisy were so excited they went off to school early...unheard of (certainly in daisy's case). they told me later they thought it was rubbish - too much cloud, and I suppose just seeing a wee crescent on a bit of card isn't too exciting. they were not allowed eclipse glasses - which probably would have been better.

blipping the terribus chanter music as I photocopied it this week for daisy...and we know this one well because when ewan was learning the chanter back in the day, he didn't get past this tune and it's all he played. drove us mental. he can still play it as well as ever.
