Sunny Sunday in the big city

Well Hello,
I suppose you are wondering why i have decided to join blipfoto? The answer is: my wonderful husband bought me a DSLR camera for my birthday and i'm determined to get out into the world and get some great shots. I've had no lessons, so please bear with me while i'm trying to master aperture, exposure, iso etc.

This 1st entry was taken on my 2nd day of ownership.
For my birthday, Ian and I went to London to see the musical Matilda. An absolutely fantastic show that i would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who remembers reading Roald Dahl books when they were a kid.
We stayed at a lovely hotel in the trendy Clerkenwell district. This was not too far from St Pauls Catherdral and so on the Sunday morning we had a leisurely stroll down to the Thames and around St Pauls. Obviously the weekend couldn't be without some yummy food for brunch, so we stopped off at Gordon Ramsey's Bread Street Kitchen. A great choice, especially the dessert of chocolate tart, salted caramel icecream with honeycomb!
