urban heron

Quick back blip from yesterday as I stayed last night at my sisters in Edinburgh.  When I got to her house in the city centre I heard birds squabbling, looked up a saw this heron being mobbed by a couple of crows.  It was standing on the chimney cowl.  It must have been confident to land on a 20cm enamelled plate. 
When I told my sister about it she said yeh, it comes and gets the frogs from the neighbours garden pond next door. OK then....

Spent the rest of the day chasing 10 year old girls around Holyrood park in a rubber mask. Managed to chart an 8 year old and tie her up in a tunnel 200mertres underground. It was my nieces birthday party, spy themed, I was the villain.   What were you thinking????
