One man went to mow ----

went to mow a meadow.  I wonder whether this little numbers song is still used in schools - it is a very catchy tune.
My man did, indeed, begin to mow our meadow full of trees, and also made a start on the orchard.  There is lots more to do as it is very time consuming and he gets quickly tired.  The day was warm and sunny but rain is forecast for much of next week, time for the grass to grow anew.
This morning we went to see some neighbours - 20 minutes walk up steep hills - as I offered to feed their cat Mondays to Fridays for the next 6 weeks, beginning tomorrow, while F. is undergoing radiotherapy down in Swansea and his wife M., suffering from dementia, is in a care home nearby.  It will be a difficult time for them both.
