It's been a blipfest today as I took in a new ground in a new league.

At Afc Fylde v Hyde it was top v bottom with the possibility that Hyde could be relegated.

I wasn't there so I took the opportunity to watch the equivalent fixture in the southern section of our league: Bromley v Staines. Staines also faced the possibility of relegation if they didn't win.

I can't judge Bromley or Staines on one game so I'll stick to the facts. Staines won 1-0 and live to fight another week.

Fylde drew so Barrow are back on top. The result left Hyde relegated.

For me football isn't about the result. It's a people's game.

The people I met from both Bromley and Staines are wonderful people. They know their football at this level.

As soon as I said where I was from they knew exactly. They could tell me almost as much about Afc Fylde as I know.

You just to see it at the higher levels. I believe it is there bit it's unseen.

He was particularly welcoming after we exchanged Twitter messages.

A very slick and professional performance from Matt and I picked up a new piece of music I can add at Afc Fylde matches.

An early night after an early start this morning means this is a back blip.
