Gimmeldinger Mandelblütenfest

I've been to the almond blossom festival in Neustadt-Gimmeldingen today.
It didn't look good weatherwise in the morning, rain and rather chilly when I left the house, but in the afternoon the sun came out and made us forget the cold wind (and a glass or two of Weißburgunder - pinot blanc - in my hands made that exercise a whole lot easier). 

Not all trees as pink and blossoming as this one yet; therefore thinking about going again next weekend (just for another dive into spring pink and without the thousends of people visiting today).
The wine was very good, too.
