In the absence of flowers

I have chosen to post this picture of the sunset this evening as seen from the apartment deck.

I had just got back from a late afternoon run, when I was called to look at the sunset. The sun had set about ten minutes before, and the sky was in the process of rapidly changing and within another ten minutes the show was completely over.

This picture had to supplant the photo taken on my run, as I hope I can get it another day.
