War of the Thistles 2015 Day 1

Jings, that is 10 years we've been putting on this competition.  I think we've done it slightly earlier than in previous years and it seems to have benefitted with a bigger turnout.

This first day of the weekend was held in the newly redesigned Transition Extreme in Aberdeen.  It's had a complete overhall aside from it's bowl so it was always going to be interesting to see how people dealt with it.

One wee section we put on was the best trick across the teardrop gap.  This is a gap between two ramps that is about 8 feet with a 3 foot drop where the ramps are below you.  Andy White here walked away with the money for this stupendously large backside kickflip across the gap.  I wish I could work out how to show you Rick's slo-mo video of it as it was spectacular.
