Not mine, nor the children; my sister-in-law's 50th 21st. Off into town after a slow-ish start, a wander around Covent Garden (some shoes may have been bought) then off to the Savoy (oooooh, get us!) for a late lunch. 

The light was incredibly low in the grill; so low in fact that the only way to get decent-ish pictures was to bang up the ISO and use the 55mm almost wide open (completely open and I find it too difficult to get anything in focus). Today's alternative (you may recognize this young whippersnapper)

+1/3 has a knack: he can spot the most expensive thing on the menu from 20 yards. If it's also got a supplemental charge, so much the better. I'm going to be a very, very poor man by the time the +3s leave home.

If you've not seen The Lunchbox then do. Oddly enough I almost bought a fountain pen today. This seems appropriate.
