Not the view you would normally hope for out of the van on the way to central loaded up with mountain bikes and not skis, but the view we had nonetheless.

7 guys and 7 bikes in the van, cruising over to Hawea, not taking the planned diversion over a dirt pass and hoping the snow storm was to be short lived. It was. We were riding in shorts in the sunshine in Wanaka later that day.
