Langdale Pikes

Today was as near perfect a day for walking as we have experienced in years of visiting the Lakes - dry underfoot conditions, warm spring sunshine and stunningly clear light. We did not climb to great heights but the views from Tom Heights and Black Crag were outstanding in all directions. The distinctive shapes of the Pikes are part of a whole range of Fells around Langdale.
