A sandy beach?!
Albir beach is a pebble beach. But during the last few days we have had heavy seas crashing on to the beach......with 'destructive waves'......the result is, that the pebbles have been dragged out to sea, and, for a very short time, we have a sandy beach!
In the next few days, the pebbles will be returned, by the sea, to 'our'' beach!
Up and down the coast, in the last few days, the beaches have been, as the Spanish say, ...''eaten' ....by the sea.
Another aspect is, that a lot of sea weed, and non-biodegradable rubbish has been thrown on to the beaches.
Easter is only two weeks away....and a huge influx of visitors is expected.....so the teams will be out in the next few days, cleaning and preparing the beaches, to get them into tip top condition again.
