Fabric Shopping

An early start got me to London ready for a whole day wedding dress fabric shopping. It was such a brilliant day, if fairly knackering. My friend Clare made the journey from Cardiff to come and help, and my other friend (and dressmaker) Helen was invaluable with her expert eyes. I had very specific ideas what I was looking for, so we trawled round the fabric shops around Goldhawk Road, and just when it looked like we'd be heading home empty handed, our luck changed. Feeling relieved, we walked up to Westfield for a fitting in the Debenhams changing rooms (don't all brides do this?!). Helen had mocked up the bodice section of the dress and did an expert job of making some alterations. It was so exciting talking about the little extras and embellishments we can add to the dress; I can't wait for the next fitting!

I hadn't predicted how tired I'd feel and had an arranged an evening Olympic Swim with Ellie, so I got the tube straight over to the other Westfield and met her for our 400m Freestyle event. We had jus enough time for a quick cocktail before I had to run for the train home.
