Where's the piste?

We had a couple of hours nap then got up at midnight to drive to Manchester for our early flight to Geneva. I was seated beside 2 women, one in her 80s and the other in her 90s, off for a week to Zermatt. Inspirational.

It has been sunny and warm here for 3 weeks so the snow is like sugar and it is raining just now. We are kitted out with full 3 Valley ski pass at over £200 so I'm hoping We get a good dump of snow in the night.

We have not stayed in this hostel before. It's a bit cramped but adequate for the price, not much more than the ski pass and that's meals and flights as well. Though we have to walk up the hill to another place for the evening meal we don't mind as we know the people there.

Thought I'd do a Gaily Waily thumbnail as it is so murky out there! Hope this sends - I've tried twice already and wifi cuts out.
