FUZZY ! Heliconia

Well, I never . . .  blew me away to see it.  (heliconia vellerigera) looked it up, because I could not believe it was real.  Also comes in a vibrant neon yellow and some lovely foxy orangey-red.  This was taken at the Academy Honolulu Museum of Art, two stunning arrangements flanking the inner doorway and another two on either side of the courtyard hallway.   It is: stop in your tracks, open mouth, joyful response to a playful, colourful, unusual, and magnificent floral display.  The arrangement also featured large dried brown elephant ears, lengths of dried bamboo and green-red anthuriums, shiny, some easily a foot and 1/2 in length, as well as other components.   Made G park the car and come look when he picked me up - he was glad he did! 
Velveteen rabbit relative ?  The hairs are soft and delicate.
