Hampshire River

So... made it to 100! I'd completely forgotten it was today...

This idyllic spot is on a chalk river a couple of villages over, and there's a pasture full of spring flowers right next to it too.

The rivers in this area are well for Mayflies, and this evening they were out in force. The trout in the river were gobbling up any that stayed to long on the river surface. Amazing to see so many of them at one time.

If you look at the picture large, there are some light random lines visible under the bridge and under the big tree. They're flying mayflies...
