Drove up to the Cabrach today for the official opening of their new premises , a school The Council have given the local community enterprise company a lease to develop with a view to ownership. The land though beautiful is missing that vital ingredient:People. I passed loads of ruined homes farms and business that have gone over the last twenty years. The opening was carried out by the oldest and youngest resident, they had drink, Barb Q and an accordionist and weather to die for. I visited Auchmair farm where the gates are incredible and on a wet day in wintertime day very appropriate. The landscape up her one of the most isolated communities in Mainland UK is beautiful. once came up her in June and had to negotiate snow drifts. Have a good week :)
