Obscured By Clouds

The solar eclipse was a none starter due to the thick cloud cover, which was obviously disappointing.

Despite squally showers, we headed into the hills and ate our picnic beside a waterfall. A Dipper was bobbing up and down on the rocks, not at all bothered by our presence.

There is a distinct lack of flowers in the Scottish hills at this time of the year, so my contribution to FlowerFriday is this tree bark. I'd be very interested to learn the names of the wonderful mosses/lichens growing on the bark (if anyone can help please).
