At Kentchurch: Reflection

The most beautiful part of being a photographer is being given the chance to study and watch other peoples lives and see the amazing things they do. This week has been diverse to put it mildly. I visit the building site at Kentchurch. I have been commissioned to record the build since its muddy beginnings last autumn. The builders banter with me, " Dont take a picture here, it looks like a building site!".

I love the people here and the people behind the build, Communion Architects. How you have a vision like this on paper and make it so, is amazing. And it is so. They have created an amazing build (i'd like to say sculpture, because thats how it is beginning to look.) The builders navigate around the site with delicacy. Its becoming its finished form fast.

Very separately, I have lunch with a good friend, Jayne . She lost her finger end recently in a horse related accident. A lot of people have told her to give up her horses because of the injury. She has learnt the hardest lesson of all. Nothing was ever achieved without learning the hard way, and having very brave people who keep on trying.
